After being greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival (a welcome treat after stressful journey from Spring Fair involving being chucked out of a taxi!) and catching up with our industry friends, we settled in for a fabulous night of honouring the people and products that make the housewares sector so great.
With so many outstanding companies and products nominated for each award it was difficult to predict who was going to come away with the prize (although we must admit we had our fingers crossed for our client Creative Products for the Food Preparation Innovation Award). We were delighted to see our friends at What More UK win the Bakeware Innovation Award and it was great to see Alastair Fisher of Taylors Eye Witness be honoured with The Kitchen Hero Award for his 30 years of dedication to the industry. Not only that, the ceremony also took the chance to honour the vital work of our clients The Rainy Day Trust for their 175 years of providing support to individuals in the home improvement sector.
In between the awards and delicious dinner (how yummy was the salted caramel mousse?!) as we were roving around the room catching up with some friendly faces, The Roving Artist was making his way from table to table creating extraordinary silhouettes of guests. Having had our profiles perfectly captured by The Roving Artist at a previous event, Brookes & Co were delighted to sponsor him to share his craft with the Housewares Innovation Awards guests.
With hosts Ryan Philpot, Jeremy Pang and Joe Fattorini wrapping up the awards, there was just enough time for one last drink and a few more pictures before we headed to our taxis with as many freebies as we could fit in our clutch bags! A huge thank you to everyone on the Housewares Innovation Awards team for a fabulous evening. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
