Brookes & Co were out in force at the National Painting and Decorating Show recently, looking after clients exhibiting at the specialist trade event, held at Coventry’s RICOH Arena.
From bespoke journalist briefings and delivery of press packs for Liberon, the woodcare experts, through to a special initiative targeting students and apprentices for Hamilton, the decorating tools specialist, the Brookes & Co team made the most of the opportunities the show afforded.
The agency handled back to back briefings with the editors from ‘The Professional Painter & Decorator’, the www.tradedecorator.co.uk website, the new title ‘Home Improvement Retailer’, ‘Professional Builders’ Merchant’ and ‘The Decorator’. The Brookes & Co team believes in combining hard work with a fun attitude, and it’s always great to have its efforts noted by press. When Paul Davies, editor of ‘Professional Builders’ Merchant said recently he would have “no hesitation recommending Brookes & Co to companies looking for PR support”, it was very good to hear. Thank you, Paul and good luck with the new Hamerville title for home improvement retailers you’ve now launched!
Having secured a number of feature articles and updated the press on Liberon’s latest news, it was time to meet the beautiful ‘Dulux dog’ shaking paws with visitors on a neighbouring stand.
Meanwhile, at another part of the show, the team was engaged in a special exercise on behalf of Hamilton, promoting the launch of the company’s new training platform, designed exclusively for students, Hamilton Training. The Brookes & Co team were on hand to support the launch, conducting press briefings with editors from a number of the industry’s key publications and encouraging as many students as possible to visit Hamilton’s stand and sign up for the platform. Over the two days of the show, the team achieved a grand total of 436 registrations to the training platform.
After all that, we think the chocolate cupcakes we nabbed from the Brewers stand were very well deserved!
