Ladies who lunch! Brookes & Co at the DIY Week Awards
We’re keen supporters of the DIY sector so when we were approached to sponsor this year’s DIY Week Awards, we jumped at the chance to get involved. So last Friday, Kate, Sam and Karen got themselves dolled up for the ultimate ‘ladies who lunch’ trip to the Park Plaza Victoria Hotel in London to celebrate the very best of the industry.

The event kicked off with a drinks reception, the perfect opportunity for our ladies to catch up with all our friends in the industry, before sitting down to a yummy lunch with our table of guests from V33, Whitefurze, Elho and Decco. With comedian Marcus Brigstocke on hand as our entertaining host, we knew we were in for a fun Friday afternoon.

In between the awards, the silhouette artist (kindly sponsored to attend the DIY Week Awards by none other than yours truly) made his way from table to table, developing some fantastic cut outs of attendees.

We were cheering on V33 who were finalists with their Easy Furniture Paint range, but it was also great to see our friends from Henkel pick up three awards, and AkzoNobel clinch Decorating Product of the Year for its Dulux Roller Tester. Not only that, as one of their key supporters, we were also thrilled that the super generous DIY Week Awards guests raised more than £880 for the Rainy Day Trust.

A huge thank you to the DIY Week Awards team for a fabulous afternoon. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
